1. Who does Express Scripts, Inc purchase prescription pharmaceuticals from?
All prescription pharmaceuticals are purchased directly from brand and generic pharmaceutical manufacturers or from one of the 3 major pharmaceutical wholesalers; Cardinal Health, McKesson and AmerisourceBergen. Express Scripts, Inc does not purchase pharmaceuticals from secondary drug suppliers, nor do they purchase any repackaged pharmaceutical products. All approved pharmaceutical suppliers must be licensed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to distribute prescription drug products.

3. What type of licensing does Express Scripts, Inc. maintain? Express Scripts, Inc. complies with all state and federal laws and regulations applicable to its business, including maintaining any licenses and permits. Each of the mail service facilities are licensed in each of the states in which they are located. Furthermore, each pharmacy maintains non-resident pharmacy registration in the 48 states that require such registrations. Express Scripts, Inc. is also allowed to mail prescriptions to U.S. territories and Puerto Rico.
